Alcatel OneTouch is in the middle of a resurgence in the Australian market after relaunching their brand last year, and delivering a very well put together smartphone in the Idol 3. It looks like Alcatel One Touch are set to continue the Idol series with not one, but two models leaking on Alcatel’s own website.
Named the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 and Idol 4S, the phones are rumoured to be set for a launch at Mobile World Congress later this month. The specs have been updated since the previous model, with the Idol 4S specs a little more high end than the standard Idol 4.
Both phones look pretty decent in the header images that were captured while the phones were showing on the Alcatel website, looking very much iterative in design from the Idol 3.

There’s support for a wide-range of LTE bands, depending on the model destined for Australia. Alcatel has again included double tap to wake/turn off in the Idol 4/4S as well. If you want to check out the full spec list for each model from screenshots captured of the Alcatel OneTouch site:
Alcatel OneTouch were quite aggressive with the pricing on the Idol 3, and apart from bringing the phone to market here quite late was quite popular all round. If Alcatel launch these new Idol phones at MWC and then follow up with a fast turn-around to market, Alcatel could be on a real winner in 2016.
Depending when these are released, will they get an update to Android N? Or will they be stuck on Marshmallow?
