HTC’s next high-end phone, previously thought to be the HTC One M10 will drop the ‘One M’ branding in their next release and this morning there’s leaks galore about this upcoming new phone.
The HTC 10 branding of the new phone, would be in line with HTC hype that’s been used by the company in the lead up to an announcement. HTC has been using the #PowerOf10 hashtag in their lead up to the launch of the phone which as yet is still to have an announcement or launch date. HTC has previously launched their higher end One M series phones at Mobile World Congress, but with the Spanish telecoms conference well and truly over, we’re still waiting.

While we wait for official information leakers Evan Blass via his @evleaks twitter account and Steve Hemmerstoffer via his @onleaks Twitter account have stepped in to fill the void. @onleaks shared the branding details of the HTC 10, as well as specs and pics of the phone in the wild.
To start with the phone will have a 5.15″ QuadHD (2560×1440) resolution display, with a Snapdragon 820 and Adreno530 GPU powering the phone. 4GB of RAM should make for a smooth experience and a 12MP camera will also be included. The 12MP camera has been rumoured to be based on the Ultra-Pixel sensors HTC has used in the past, though upgraded with Optical Image Stabilisation. Rounding out the specs is that HTC will be using a USB-C connector on the phone, a spec backed up by pics of a live unit.
So, you want more? Well, @onleaks also shared a couple of more pics of the phone in the wild, complete with a decent look at what’s believed to be the fingerprint sensor on the front.
Not to be outdone, this is where Evan (@evleaks) joined in supplying a press render of the phone showing it off in fairly high quality from every angle. The leaks shows the phone in that lovely aluminium body colouring we’ve come to know and love from HTC, as well as the familiar curved back of the phone.
What about HTC’s much vaunted BoomSound? Well, neither the live pics nor the press render seem to show those lovely front-facing speakers we all love. Fear not though @onleaks has something to say about that, sharing a photo of the internal settings from the phone which list HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio using internal speakers.
Rumours for launch put the announcement date for the phone in April, with the phone apparently going on-sale in May. If you’re after more official information make sure to keep an eye out for more teasers from HTC using the #PowerOf10 hashtag on all their social media channels.
I like it, mechanical home button, no on screen buttons, camera positioned more towards the centre , (no more fingers in pics), so many devices have poor ergonomics, , nice to see them do something different.
The front looks better in white
Wow yea it looks way better in the white
I actually really like the look of it.
Interested in this more than the samsung or lg this year.
