HTC has today announced Australian availability of their latest mid-range handset, launching the Desire 825 as the successor to the Desire 820 which launched through Optus last year. The handset will be available exclusively through JB Hi-fi.
Sporting a 5.5″ 720p display, a lightweight polycarbonate body, which HTC says is fun, adventurous and ‘stands out from the crowd’. The Desire 825 is also Hi-Res audio certified and comes with HTC’s own BoomSound speaker setup, the Desire 825 is going to be on the list for many users to check out.

One of the features that HTC are clearly quite proud of is the camera included in the 825 which includes a 13MP backside illuminated (BSI) sensor to help you capture those fun and precious moments even in low light conditions. The 5MP selfie cam also comes with Auto Selfie and Voice Selfie modes, letting you to take a shot without pressing any buttons.
Australian pricing is set at $549.00 and has already appeared on the JB Hifi website.
