Google Calendar
Google is getting even smarter with their calendar, adding a new function for all users after launching the ‘Suggest a time’ feature for Google for Work customers back in April.

The new feature will automatically parse your calendar when you enter a new event, waiting until you’ve added a date and then suggesting times in half-hour increments which will also show conflicts in your schedule.

Google Calendar_conflict assistance

Unlike the conflict checking feature announced in April for Google for Work customers, the suggest a time feature won’t check the calendars of people invited to the event for conflicts. The ability to check calendars for conflicts is obviously going to be a privacy issue, with Google for Work customers having slightly better options on that front within an organisation, vs private Gmail or Google Apps accounts.

The update is rolling out in the latest version of Google Calendar for Android, ensure you’re up to date by checking Google Play and try out the new feature.
