What’s Google got cooking? On the anniversary of the release of Android, and HTC’s official announcement of the HTC Dream on 23 September 2008, they’ve tweeted out they’re cooking up something for tomorrow.
The tweet is fairly vague, and the birthday cake emoji implies it could be something to do with their birthday. The tweet went out at 3am this morning, so whatever they have planned will probably come out on a Saturday in the US.

With Google really going for it with their #MadeByGoogle campaign for the October 4th (5th here in Australia) event, where we’ll see Pixel phones, Google Home, and now Google branded Wi-Fi routers, 4K compatible Chromecasts, it’s likely it’s not a hardware surprise.
So what is it? Maybe we’ll see a 7.1 release for Android? A new unannounced app? An Android themed Birthday cake? Your guess is as good as ours.
You get a soft bricked Nexus. Woohoo
FRAGMENTATION FOR EVVVERRRRYBODY! *YOU GET FRAGMENTATION* *YOU GET FRAGMENTATION* YOU..YOU..YOU TOO*..
Yep, I’m with you. I reckon Android 7.1.
Another unneeded Messaging app!
A new unannounced app??
Watches!!!! I hope anyway!
Nougat for all previous Nexus phones, that would be sweet.
My Nexus 6 is ready.
