ZTE’s upcoming phone, codenamed Hawkeye, was announced at CES as being the result of a crowdsourcing campaign which shows ZTE’s commitment to listening to their customers. While the phone was up on Kickstarter, it was lacking in specs for the most part, which ZTE has today cleared up releasing a more informative spec sheet.
The phone, now called ‘Project CSX’, is a budget level device. ZTE are currently asking backers for $199USD on Kickstarter where with just 32 days left it’s raised $30,000 from 159 backers of its $500,000 project goal. The spec lists sees a Snapdragon 625 processor under the hood with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (with microSD card slot) and a decently sized 3,000mAh battery. ZTE are also planning on launching the phone running Nougat when it (or if) the phone hits the market.

The phone is being aimed at the US/Canadian market with the included LTE bands showing limited compatibility with our LTE networks. ZTE is sticking to their ‘crowdsourced’ idea and tell us they’re listening to feedback so if you want this phone to support more LTE bands you should tell them.
