It’s that time of year again where the players in technology journalism get together for a night of fun and frivolity and Sydney’s Luna Park to find out who amongst them has been judged — by their peers — to be the best in a number of categories.

In 2017, Ausdroid has nominated for the Best Independent Media category for the fourth year running, and after winning the last two years, we’re very excited to be in the running for a third gong.

We’re up against some very strong competition this year, including Trevor Long’s Everything for the Man (EFTM) and Stephen Fenech’s Tech Guide. Freddy Bros is in the running again, as well as other publications in the gaming and tech space.

We’re very excited to reach the list of finalists again this year, and can’t wait to catch up with our colleagues in the fairly small cadre of technology journalists on Friday night.

Although we’ve not won anything yet, this is a timely reminder to us of what makes Ausdroid possible; without you guys reading, commenting and engaging with us, there’d be no reason for us to do this. Thanks for making our hobby so enjoyable and rewarding for all of us, too.
