Samsung and air travel have had a rocky relationship of late but today Samsung have announced a new partnership with Qantas that will help get that back on track.
Samsung have announced that they have partnered with Qantas to give eligible Qantas Frequent Flyers and Qantas Business Rewards members new ways to earn extra points in their loyalty program. Not only are there ongoing offers but to celebrate the new partnership there are bonus offers available for a short time.
The offers are as follows:
Qantas Frequent Flyer members
- 9 May – 2 July 2017 (bonus offer):
- 5 Qantas Points per $1 spent on select Samsung QLED TVs
- 5,000 Qantas Points on select Samsung Galaxy A smartphone purchases
- From 1 July 2017 ongoing offer:
- 5,000 Qantas Points on eligible purchases of Samsung Sound+ soundbars and 10,000 points on Atmos soundbars.
Qantas Business Rewards members
- 9 May – 2 July 2017 (bonus offer):
- 5 Qantas Points per $1 spent on select Samsung QLED TVs
- 5,000 Qantas Points on select Samsung Galaxy A smartphone purchases
From 1 May 2017 ongoing offer:
- 3 Qantas Points per $1 spent on the complete range of Samsung products including smartphones, tablets, monitors, printers, TVs, digital signage, hospitality displays and air conditioners.
These bonus offers are not set in stone and will change regularly throughout the year with various combinations of Samsung products and Qantas points values.
Both Qantas and Samsung see the partnership as a positive win-win for all invlolved with Samsung Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Philip Newton, saying:

The above points are earned no matter what payment method you use but extra points can of course be garnered by paying with a Qantas Points-earning credit card. In a very inception moment these points can be used to purchase further Samsung products through the Qantas Store.
