OPPO have decent claims to being the masters of the mid-range smartphone. Each of their mid-range phones pack some decent specs inside well-crafted bodies. Their upcoming R11 promises more of the same and today they have officially revealed it in a video released via Chinese social media channel, Weibo.
The OPPO R11 video shows a dual rear camera and new antenna styling. The body of the phone appears to be metallic and shaped like much of their other devices. The front of the device shows the home button and fingerprint sensor. The phone is shown in several colours — gold, black and pink.
The phone is rumoured to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 powering a 5.5in 1080P LCD display. There is said to be 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage and a 3000mAh battery. The rear dual camera setup is set to be a combination of a 16MP and a 20MP camera while the front facing camera is set to be a very decent 20MP selfie camera.
There is also an OPPO R11 Plus set to be officially announced at the same time as the R11 on June 10. It is rumoured to sport a bigger 6in display and 4000mAh battery
OPPO tend to release most, if not all, of their products into the Australian market so we definitely look forward to seeing these land on our shores — especially the black version of the R11. We will keep you informed as soon as we hear anything of local availability.
