Samsungs Galaxy Note 8 will be making an appearance in early September in selected markets says Chairman of Samsung Electronics Mobile Communications Division DJ Koh on a recent visit to Taiwan.
Mr Koh advised that the Note 8 will be announced in late August, https://ausdroid.net/2017/06/24/rumour-samsung-galaxy-note-8-launching-late-september-cool-1500au/“>in line with rumours which pin the announcement as being in New York.
Unlike previous launches of Samsung phones which have generally launched in a large amount of markets at once, the rollout of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come in waves. Samsung will bring the Galaxy Note 8 to various markets beginning in September with the rollout expected to continue through to October.
Though he didn’t give any details of the specs for the handset, rumours peg the Note 8 as packing either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Samsung’s Exynos 8895 SoC depending on market with 6GB of RAM. The Note 8 will apparently come with a 6.3″ QHD+ 3840×2160 resolution ‘Infinity Display’, making it slightly larger than the Galaxy S8+.
Renders also show that Samsung will be moving into dual-cameras with the Note 8 likely the dual-camera ISOCell sensors announced at MWC Shanghai, possibly a 12MP wide-angle sensor paired with a 13MP telephoto sensor offering some form of optical zoom.
For all that hardware, you can expect to pay around $1500, though pricing hasn’t yet been confirmed. That will all happen at the launch event, and given there’s still a little over a month left before the launch of the phone, we hope to see more leaks in the lead up.
According to Best Buy employee who posted on Reddit today, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released in the US on August 24, one day after Samsung’s Unpacked event.
Man do I miss the note 7. Note 8 will be too big…
guess not, samsung pay for Westpac doesn’t support mst payment. it’s in their website. I tried and failed. So it’s same with Anz. May be for security or they are trying to reduce their testing effort.
