Samsung finally brought their mid-ranged Galaxy A7 to Australia this year and hopefully they will continue to do this for future versions. Today we have seen the specs for the Samsung Galaxy A7 circa 2018 leak via benchmark site gfxbench.

According to gfxbench a phone with the codename SM-A730x passed through their website to test itself out. The results show the specs for what appears to be the 2018 version of the Galaxy A7. The phone will come with a 1080P display that is apparently 86.7 inches in size (obviously an error — not sure that would fit in the pocket of the skinny jeans). The CPU will be an octacore 2.1GHz CPU with a Mali-G71 GPU.

The onboard storage is just 32GB but surely it will also have a microSD card slot with that little storage. There is 3GB of RAM to go along with this as well as 15MP front and rear cameras. At this stage it is running Android 7.1.1.

With this year’s Galaxy A7 setting you back $799 we expect it to be similar pricing next year if the Galaxy A7 does indeed make it here. With an announcement not expected until early next year we will undoubtedly see a lot more leaks for this device in the coming months

Anyone here using a 2017 version of the Galaxy A7? What are your thoughts on it? Would you recommend next years version (which will most likely be very similar)?
