As a ‘Google’ phone, the Pixel is still one of the best smartphones on the market, and even with the spectre of imminent replacement by the Pixel 2 looming over it, when you can get the phone heavily discounted it’s a great deal.
JB Hi-Fi has dropped the price of the 32GB Very Silver and Quite Black Google Pixel – the 5″ model – from $1,079 to just $799. The Pixel is Google’s first foray into their ‘own branded phones’, it brings with it a host of great benefits including a stock Android experience, almost immediate feature and monthly security updates and extras like unlimited, full resolution online photo storage through Google Photos.
Specs are getting a little old these days, but the Snapdragon 821 is still quite respectable. The photos from the Pixel though are still ranked up there with flagship phones from 2017, so it’s well worth it. What else is inside the phone? Here’s the spec list:

The Google Store is still listing this one at $1,079 and the Pixel XL is still priced at $1,229 at JB HiFi. If this sounds like the price you want, head over to the JB Hi-Fi website to check it out.
One year old $799 bargain!
Nice but I don’t think I’ll be buying a device with less than 64Gb storage in the future.
