The HTC U11 is a welcome return to form for HTC, the high-end handset is winning fans all over the place and as well as updating the Bluetooth to support version 5.0, it seems HTC is also going to be updating the handset to support 60 frames per second video capture.

The HTC U11 currently supports video recording at FullHD (1080p) and 4K (2160p) resolution but only at 30fps. A tweet overnight from HTC has announced HTC’s intent to update the handset to support 60fps. The increased frame rate, should give the HTC U11 an even better video mode with a smoother video output.

The HTC U11 holds DxOMark’s highest rating ever (a score of 90) for a smartphone camera, and Jason raves about the camera on the U11 in his review so this can only make a good phone even better.

There’s no date on when it will be added, but hopefully it won’t take too long.
