After introducing Legendary Pokémon last month, Niantic Labs has today promised that one of the most highly anticipated legendary Pokémon, Mewtwo, is finally coming to Pokémon Go too.
The legendary Pokémon has appeared at a Pokémon Go Stadium event in Japan, but will be coming to the rest of the world too. Mewtwo will begin appearing in exclusive raids which will start after a future update.
Mewtwo will appear at local gyms, but you’ll have to receive an invite to participate in the raids. To receive an invite, Niantic says you ‘must have successfully completed a raid recently, by defeating the Raid Boss, at the Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place’.
The good news for anyone who hasn’t yet caught the legendary Pokemon Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia, Niantic has said they will all be available in Raid Battles until the 31st of August.
