A few weeks back Lenovo announced a standalone AR headset and controller for a Star Wars VR experience, Star Wars Jedi Challenges. The $399 package contains all you need to start wielding a lightsaber in your own home.
From today you can pre-order the set from Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi for pick up or delivery from the 6th of November.
To say that most of the Ausdroid team are a little excited about this would be an understatement. Overall we are excited for Mobile AR, add Star Wars and a lightsaber into that mix and it’s nerdvana right now.
While the headset is pictured with a Moto Z it will work with both Android and iOS devices; for a full list of compatible devices check out Lenovo’s website.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on one of these kits I’d recommend getting in early as I suspect they’ll be popular and stock may be limited. Oh and Santa I’ve been good this year.
