At the Made by Google 2017 event, Google unveiled a new program for accessory partners called ‘Made for Google’ to support their new Google hardware products.

So what is the Made for Google program? The description from Google on what the Made for Google program is says:


The made for Google accessory partnership program supports our made by Google products. Over 25 popular brands are launching 250+ accessories which carry the made for Google badge to support Pixel 2, Pixelbook, Daydream View and Clips. We have a great lineup that will enrich the consumer experience with Pixel 2 and our other made by Google Products.

The announcement of the Made for Google program was made on-stage during the event by Mario Queiroz Google Vice President for Product Management and Hardware. Mario showed off the logos of accessory manufacturers who are the launch partners for the Made for Google program.

There are products either on the way, or have now launched with Google advising there will be more than 250 accessories from these 26 manufacturers launched. Belkin has a USB-C 3.1 Express Dock HD, as does Moshi which lets you charge and listen to music from the USB-C port. Libratone has announced two ear/headphones, the Q Adapt USB-C earphones and Q Adapt wireless headphones. Otterbox will have a Defender series of cases for Pixel, as will Bellroy with a leather case, Moment will have a photo case and wide lens kit, and Power Support will have an Air Jacket Case and Tempered Glass film for the Pixel.
