The OnePlus 5T may well exist. The rumours and leaks surrounding it are building up every day. Today we have seen a phone that identifies itself as a possible OnePlus 5T surface on benchmark site Antutu.

Before we go any further we should take this one with a grain of salt because the identity of a phone can be easily faked by a simple edit of the build.prop file and that may well be the case here but we will report on it nonetheless.

Last year the OnePlus 3 had the model number of A3000. The OnePlus 3T had the model number A3010. The OnePlus 5 this year has the model number A5000. If a OnePlus 5T were to exist you would expect it to have the model number A5010. Guess what model number just showed up on Antutu? A5010.

As you can see from the Antutu image above the OnePlus 5T is apparently running Android 8.0.0 Oreo, has the same processor as the 5 with a Snapdragon 835, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Of note is the dual 20MP cameras and an 1080 x 2160 display resolution. These all fit with the rumoured OnePlus 5T, especially the display resolution which is an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

***UPDATE*** Overnight Evan Blass, the man with his finger on the pulse of every leak and possible phone around, has confirmed that he has indeed heard from TWO separate sources that he trusts that OnePlus do have the 18:9 OnePlus 5T in the pipeline and are aiming for a release post- 20th November.

After the disappointment of the Google Pixel 2 XL I certainly hope this leak and the phone is real. If it is real though the best phone of 2017* may have just gotten better.

This thing is real, I just wish they would announce it already.
