Ecovacs has today announced that their DEEBOT OZMO 930 robot vacuum cleaner has landed in Australia at Harvey Norman where it’s selling for $1,299.
The robo vac has one very big feature that made us sit up and notice with the company announcing that after a firmware update due to arrive next year you’ll be able to control it with Google Home. Due in Q1 2018, you’ll be able to tell your Ozmo 930 to start cleaning from the Google Assistant on your phone or Google Home.
Until the Google Home compatibility update arrives, you can use the Ecovacs Robtics app, available for free on Google Play, to control the robot vacuum cleaner.
The app lets you schedule cleaning, as well as lets the Ozmo 930 scan and map your floor plan to get an efficient cleaning path across an entire home during the setup process.
Built-in sensors helps the Ozmo 930 to avoid stairs to avoid falling down them as well as find obstacles such as moved furniture in its cleaning path. If you or your furniture do happen to get bumped into by your robotic vacuum cleaner, the Ozmo 930 has soft cushion bumpers to avoid any damage.
I keep saying Vacuum Cleaner but the Ozmo 930 is able to both sweep and mop your entire floor surfaces in one easy step, with a built-in electronically controlled 300-ml water tank that moistens a washable cloth during the cleaning process. Imagine coming home to clean floors.
The vacuum cleaner is available at Harvey Norman from today for $1,299. You can head into your local store to check one out.
