At their Snapdragon Tech Summit in Hawaii this morning, Qualcomm has apparently announced the new Snapdragon 845 System on Chip, though don’t expect too many details.
According to multiple sources on the ground including The Verge, Android Police and igyaan, Qualcomm has said little about the new processor beyond that, like the SD835 before it, it will be based on the 10nm manufacturing process. The processor will be released next year and will likely be paired with the X20 LTE modem which supports gigabit connectivity.
Qualcomm has announced that the processors will be utilised in a new line of Windows based laptop, as well as obviously the next generation of flagship Android phones.
According to Android Police, there will be details on the processor released tomorrow, so stay tuned for the ins and outs of the next big processor for Qualcomm.
