The current Nokia flagship has today taken a price drop with the handset dropping down under $700.
Spotted by keen-eyed Ausdroid reader, Chris, the phone has dropped to $699 for both the Steel and Polished Blue models at Harvey Norman and JB HiFi, with MobileCiti also dropping the price to $689 with Free shipping if you’re after the steel coloured model. The sale represents a $200 price drop from its usual retail price of $899.
The Nokia 8 launched in August this year, bringing flagship specs including the much vaunted Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM and 64GB of on-board storage to Australia at a time when similar flagships were priced above $1,000. A dual 13MP rear camera setup produced some pretty decent results when Jason reviewed the phone back in September.

Manufacturer HMD Global has taken pride in delivering their Nokia handsets with stock Android, making it easier to update the software – which means it’s no surprise that Oreo is already rolling out to the handset.
With the drop in price to under $700, we see this phone making its way into a few Christmas stockings this year.
Small screen, large bezels and poor battery life are the main reasons that I crossed this off my list when I was in the market.
Also screen isn’t great.
It looks like a good buy , and complete with headphone jack and sd card , and $ 300 cheaper than the pixel 2 , Google needs to look at their prices .
Only thing holding this phone back is screen size if it was closer to 6″screen these thing would be flying off the shelves, also the company handling service&repairs( nokia care point sydney)has closed its doors,so as far as i know there is no official service centre
