Telstra is doing a good deed this Christmas season offering free calls, as well as free data through the Telstra Air wifi hotspots.
The free calls will be available from December 24-26, and are on offer from both Telstra landlines and through Telstra’s 16,000 plus Pay Phones. Unfortunately this deal does not include calls from your mobile.
Landlines will be able to make free calls to local, national and standard mobile phone numbers, while premium and directory services (no psychic line for you), as well as international calls and 13-numbers are excluded from the deal.
For those looking to get in touch with a loved one digitally, Telstra Air Wireless hotspots will also be turned on for anyone to access free data.
Telstra has previously run promotions along these lines, with Telstra Head of Fixed Products Jana Kotatko saying
Telstra’s 2016 free payphone calls campaign was testament to that, with more than 271,000 free payphone calls made over three days. This year, by giving people even more ways to contact their friends and family for free, we expect to see this figure rise by at least ten times this amount.
