Hot on the heels of HP announcing their new Kaby Lake-powered Chromebox at CES 2018 Asus have introduced theirs to the world.

In Las Vegas Asus have announced the Chromebox 3, aimed primarily at business customers. It will have an 8th generation Kaby Lake Intel Core processor but precisely which processor is unknown at this stage. The memory is DDR4-2400 and promises faster, smoother performance.

It has a single USB 3.1 Type-C port along with offering HDMI and DisplayPort options allowing 4K UHD playback of videos. There is both 802.11ac WiFi and Gigabit LAN support for faster access.

The details on the Chromebox 3 are sparse at the moment but it is expected to release in the US in the first half of 2018. We will keep you updated on Australian availability and pricing details when it comes to hand.
