It’s another first for another fashion brand, this time with Danish manufacturer Skagen unveiling their first Android Wear watch, meet the Falster smartwatch.

At this stage there isn’t much information about the watch, though a price of between $275-$295USD has been bandied about placing it in the similar range to other watches announced by Skagen parent company Fossil.

Hardware wise, there really isn’t much known about the watch beyond it runs Android Wear 2.0, has a single button on the side and has a touch screen. The watch will allow for the strap to be changed, but there’s no information on what size bands you’ll be able to swap.

Availability wise, the watch should be available ‘soon’ and there will be a number of strap and case options when it is announced. There are outlets including The Iconic and David Jones which sell Skagen branded fashion items here in Australia, so we may see it here but we’ll have to wait for an official announcement.

Update:
The Skagen Falster will be available in Australia from late February from between $449-$479.
