The incentive to buy a Google Home or Google Home Mini is a little better this month with an offer for a free month of YouTube Red (and Google Play Music) up for grabs.
The offer has appeared as a bonus to Google adding the Google Home Mini to the Support page for Google Chromecast based offers.
As usual, the offer is only open to customers who aren’t currently YouTube Red or Google Play Music subscribers – and haven’t had a subscription (or free trial) in the last 12 months. This rules out most early Google Home users who purchased before the 15th of January who got 6-months of YouTube Red/Google Play Music service.
To claim the offer you’ll have to check out the Chromecast offers page while you’re connected to the Wifi network your devices are, or check in the Google Home app under offers.
You’ll need a payment method attached to your account, and at the end of the free trial you’ll be charged $11.99 per month to continue. You can of course cancel the subscription at any time (like the day before it expires if you don’t want to be charged).
