The flagship handset of the new Nokia line is getting a temporary price drop at JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman with the handset dropping to just $599.
The Nokia 8 will be available for $599 both in-store and online at Harvey Norman until the 25th of February and at JB HiFi until the 21st of February.
Launched in Australia in early September for $899, the handset has all the hardware inside you’d expect for a flagship level handset but at $599 it’s now an incredible bargain. The Nokia 8, just like the rest of the Nokia line of handsets includes a stock Android software build which is already seeing an update to Android 8.0 (Oreo) rolling out.
The Nokia 8 scored quite highly with Jason when he reviewed it last year, with a camera that delivers a ‘vibrant, colour-rich shot’ thanks to their auto-HDR software.
The Nokia 8 is on-sale from today, so if you’re looking for a good deal jump in to a JB Hi-Fi or Harvey Norman store or over to their respective websites to check it out – or with a bit of shopping around you may even find it a little cheaper elsewhere.
Damn. I go a few days without reading Ausdroid and miss out on a great deal. This is about the money I would be willing to spend on my next phone, and a locally sourced Nokia 8 would have been a great phone for that money. Sigh.
