Graphics input company Wacom has today announced a new stylus is available in Australia with the Bamboo Tip now available at Officeworks and through Wacom’s website.
The Bamboo Tip is a new fine-tip stylus aimed at mobile devices with support for both Android and iOS devices. The stylus is aimed as an improved way to take notes on your tablet or mobile, with the option to switch between devices without the need to pair the device.
The finely weighted stylus comes in a dark blue anodized aluminium casing. The nib is 1.9 mm thin and won’t mark the screen of your devices, it’s also replaceable if required.
Mike Gay, Senior Vice President of the Wacom Consumer Business Unit said of the new stylus
In today’s connected world, we rely on a combination of smartphones, tablets and different operating systems to capture ideas, observations and next steps at work or at play. Bamboo Tip lets users move seamlessly between devices and operating systems to get things done. As OS providers roll out more seamless note taking and mark-up capabilities on their devices, Bamboo Tip will help users take full advantage to be more productive and turn ideas into reality.
The stylus is active with around 20 hours of battery life, with the microUSB port hidden discreetly in the top of the stylus. To turn the stylus on, you simply press the button on the stylus and then hold it to turn it off, a switch near the top can change frequency if there’s interference from other devices.
If you’re in the market for a new stylus, the Bamboo Tip is available from buywacom.com.au for $79.00 or if you feel like paying a lot more you can get it from Officeworks for $119.
