The runaway success of Augmented Reality (AR) game Pokemon Go has seen a raft of new games from popular franchises such as Harry Potter, The Walking Dead and Ghostbusters announced, and now another has surfaced with Jurassic World: Alive set to launch this year.
The game is being launched by Universal in partnership with developer Ludia Inc. who previously made the Jurassic World mobile tie-in game. This game though is an AR game, with players collecting dinosaurs and hatching eggs by finding them on the in-game map as they walk around their neighbourhoods and cities and deploying drones to collect DNA samples which can be used to create some of the creatures seen in both Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movies.
Jurassic World: Alive will launch later this year to coincide with the launch of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which arrives in cinemas around Australia on June 21st. Ludia are promising a bonus in-game reward for pre-registering for the game on Google Play but at this stage the link isn’t live – so keep checking back.
