HP launches the Chromebook X2 detachable giving you another Chrome Tablet option

It seems that the floodgates on Chrome tablets is set to open with HP announcing their own Chrome tablet, though this one is more a detachable coming with a keyboard and stylus included as well.

The Chromebook X2 from HP, includes a 12.3″ 2,400×1,600 resolution display covered in Gorilla Glass 4 attached to a keyboard with HPs hinge which gives you the option to either detach the screen into a traditional tablet, or flip the screen around into a tablet form-factor with the keyboard on the rear.

Inside the Chromebook X2 you’ll find an Intel Core M3-7Y30 processor with options for either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and 32GB of eMMC storage with a microSD slot supporting up to 256GB cards. The tablet includes both a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera, and has 2x USB-C 3.0 ports. The Chromebook X2 also includes audio tuned by B&O PLay, and dual speakers.

The Chromebook X2 is priced at $599USD including both the keyboard and stylus and will launch in the US on June 10. No announcements about Australian availability have been made, but we’ve reached out to HP Australia and we’ll let you know if they have anything to say.
