TCL today sent word that they’re preparing to launch their latest Android TV offerings in Australia, with 7 new TV models arriving on our shores soon.
First revealed at CES 2018, the new range is organised into X, and C and P series with X taking the lead at the upper end. The X and C series sets feature Quantum Dot displays for better colour reproduction, HDR Premium and Wide Colour Gamut, with audio tuned by Harmon Kardon.
TCL is pretty excited about its Quantum Dot offerings, with Australian GM Mark Zhang saying that it offers “a host of benefits including better picture quality and an improved viewing experience”.
We’ve seen some pretty high-end TVs with Android TV on them in the last year, and its good to see TCL now joining those ranks with the new X6 – it’s an 85-inch TV with 360-degree 12-channel Dolby Atmos sound. Stepping down a little, the X4 comes in 65- and 55-inch models. In the C series you can expect to find the C6 model coming in 49- 55- and 65-inch sizes. The C4 comes in 70- and 75-inches. The P6 will be available in 43- 50- 55- and 65-inch models.
We don’t have a specific in-store date for the new sets just yet, but the company will be providing more information in a live event on the TCL AU/NZ Facebook page on May 2 at 7.30pm (they’re also running a giveaway to tie in with the live stream – click here for details).
