Another month, another Android security bulletin, with Google releasing the June Security Bulletin alongside the Factory Images and OTA update files for supported Nexus and Pixel devices.
The security bulletin doesn’t contain any standout features, adding patches Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVEs) reported or discovered in the past month. The CVEs cover the Kernel, Framework and Media Framework, as well as hardware patches for MediaTek, Nvidia and Qualcomm components.
There’s even an LG update for the Bootloader, which may patch a vulnerability discovered for the Verizon Pixel which recently gave their users an option to unlock the Bootloader – but as that doesn’t affect us here, we shouldn’t really stress over it.
The more important information is that the OTA files and Factory Images for supported devices have been released by Google.

As we’ve seen previously, Google now likes to improve ‘Funtionality’ updates for their devices in these updates and this month is no different featuring improvement updates for Bluetooth Low Energy, Proximity Sensor and more:

The OTA updates haven’t quite started arriving as yet on my Pixel 2 XL or Pixel 2, but that should change in the next few hours. If you really must have it, you can of course flash the update, but patience is a virtue.
Still no black crush fix. For fuck sake Google.lol. Samsung has already sent out a fix for their crushing and banding issue on their S9 and S9 plus.
