OPPO are really building the hype for their new phone, the Find X, set to be launched on the 19th of June in Paris. OPPO have already shown us how it will look from the front with some extremely minimal bezels all the way around and a screen to body ratio of 93.8%. Now a leak has revealed just where the front and rear cameras are located, after all if the display covers the entire front of the device where then does the selfie camera go?
We have seen much speculation just how OPPO would reveal the selfie camera and it appears the rumour about the sliding part of the phone is accurate according to a leak overnight. The overnight leak, although not the greatest resolution and detail, show the rear camera appearing after what appears the be the bottom of the phone sliding down. The front facing camera appears to be the rear sliding up.
Something lacking in both front and rear renders is a fingerprint sensor which makes us suspect that OPPO will also be introducing an under-display fingerprint sensor. For them to introduce such a spec is not much of a stretch seeing as Vivo and OPPO are long lost cousins (both owned by BBK). We have seen Vivo go down the sliding up camera hardware rather than the entire phone it will be interesting to see how each of these works, and how robust they are — something which many of us are of course concerned about.
The OPPO Find X is expected to arrive with a SD845/8GB RAM/128GB combo, a 6.4″ FullHD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution display. Camera wise, a dual rear camera array is expected with 20MP and 16MP sensors behind f/2.0 aperture, with a massive 25MP f/2.0 front facing camera. The phone will be powered by a 3,730mAh battery that will support OPPO’s proprietary fast charging technology SuperVOOC. It is expected to still unfortunately have OPPO’s ColorOS skin on top of Android 8.0.
The OPPO Find X will be revealed in Paris on the 19th GMT+2. Stay tuned to Ausdroid for all the details as they come to hand in the next day or so.
