Motorola is on somewhat of a roll with announcements, recently launching the Moto E and G series in Brazil, followed even more recently with the Moto Z3 Play. Now they’re at it again teasing a big announcement at their headquarters in Chicago on August 2nd.
The event will be held at 2pm at their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois – that’s 5am on August 3rd AEST for those of us here in Australia – according to the unlisted teaser video on YouTube. The description of the video says a ‘big announcement’ is coming:
Mark your calendar. On August 2, we’re making a big announcement at Motorola’s HQ in Chicago. Say “hello” to a whole new way to connect, stream, download, video chat, and more. Are you ready?
The announcement could be a number of things, but is likely a more premium version of the Moto Z3 Play, possibly the Moto Z3 Force. The Moto Z3 series with their modular attachments would fit well to the tease of a new way to ‘connect’, with Motorola rumoured to be launching a 5G Moto Mod for the Z series.
It’s also possible we’ll see an announcement of the the Android One Power, their latest Android One handset after the launch of the Android One packing Moto X4 which was a US-only variant of the phone.
Either way, we’ll find out on August 3rd here in Australia. You can watch the video here, but it’s not much more than a slightly animated image:
