With now three sizes of Google Home speakers on sale, Google has covered almost all the bases – except portability. Until Google releases their first portable Google Home, US-company Ninety7 is covering the bases with the Loft portable battery for Home, and it’s now available in Australia.

The Loft portable battery for Google Home replaces the existing base with a battery pack which you can plug in with the Google Home power adapter, or take it with you on the road where the 4,200mAh battery will keep it powered for up to 8 hours. To keep track of how much power you have, the Loft has 4 LEDs on the front which will let you know how much battery you have left.

The design is stylish and integrates well with Google Home and is available in three colour options – Black, Copper and White – from David Jones where it sells for $79.95.

The Loft Portable battery pack for Google Home can be purchased from David Jones on-line or in-store, head over to their website to check store stock.

The Google Home Mini has a micro USB connector, so you can connect it to any power bank and therefore take it anywhere that you have cellular data and link it with your phone via hotspot.
You can even connect it to your car charger and have it sitting on your dashboard, but as to why you would want that I don’t know!!

I can imagine a picnic in a beautiful place of nature, birds singing, with the Google Home tethered to a cellular phone, and people saying, “OK Google, OK Google…”

I missed this post and stumbled on the David Jones listing for the product this morning on the way to work. I bought one today and I love it. It will be great for BBQs and keeping the kids entertained.
