At IFA Motorola has unveiled a new series of phones with the One line, offering the One and One Power running Android One.
Motorola One
There’s differences in hardware and design across the two handsets with the Motorola One coming with a 5.9” HD+ resolution 19:9 Max Vision display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM and coming with 64GB of on-board storage expandable with microSD.
The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
The phone will have a dual rear camera array with 13MP & 2MP sensors with Google Lens AI built-in and an 8MP front-facing camera built into the notch in the display.
Motorola One Power
The Motorola One Power has a slightly larger 6.2″ LCD 1080×2246 resolution display. It’s powered by a slightly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB of RAM/64GB of on-board storage (also with microSD card slot). The One Power will live up to its name with a massive 5,000 mAh battery inside.
On the camera front there’s improvements over the One with a dual 16MP/5MP sensor array on the rear with a 12MP front-facing camera.
Android One
Motorola has both phones running Android One which they say will include three years of security updates – though don’t mention feature updates. The phones are launching with Android 8.1, though an update to Android Pie is promised, so there’s at least one Feature update.
Availability
The Motorola One Power appears to be heading to India first in October, but the Motorola One may be on its way down under with specific mention of launching the phone in the Asia Pacific region as well as in Europe and Latin America for €299 (about AUD$483). Motorola Australia hasn’t advised of any plans as yet, but we’ll update if we find out anything.
Where can i buy the Moto One Power in Australia?
Pretty plain looking phone, but I would consider the One Power if we were getting it for that battery
The bigger model with the 5000 mAh battery sounds like a keeper ,
Pity about the notch though ,
How unimaginative .
