Google’s bid to make you spend less time engaged in your phone, Digital Wellbeing, was launched earlier this year at Google I/O before being rolled out to Pixel devices as a beta with the launch of Android Pie. Nokia 7 Plus handsets running the Android Pie Beta have now joined the ranks of Pixel devices, receiving the option to install Digital Wellbeing.
Previously, Nokia 7 Plus users could install the APK for Digital Wellbeing, but that’s a workaround that not everyone was happy with. After an update by Google to the listing, the Digital Wellbeing app, as noted by NokiaPowerUser, now allows Nokia 7 Plus owners to install the Digital Wellbeing app directly from the Google Play Store.
There’s a number of devices running the Android Pie Beta from Oppo, OnePlus, Sony and more, as well as the Essential Phone which is running the full Android Pie release which don’t have access to the update just yet. It’s hopefully only a matter of time for those devices, so if you own one, keep on trying.
