It seems like only earlier this month that OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei would only refer to the OnePlus 6T as ‘the next OnePlus handset’. Those times have changed with OnePlus launching their teaser campaign on Twitter overnight.

The tweet is fairly brief simply naming the phone and splashing the ‘Unlock the Future’ tagline across the screen. It’s widely accepted that OnePlus are to include an in-display fingerprint sensor in the OnePlus 6T, so that tagline is likely a reference to that.

As far as specs are concerned, the OnePlus 6T is expected to be running a 6.28-inch 2280×1080 resolution AMOLED display, with a Snapdragon 845 under the hood paired with options for 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of on-board storage.

nePlus is expected to offer similar optics as the OnePlus 6 for their camera on the 6T with a dual 16MP+20MP sensor array on the rear and a 16MP front-facing camera.

The teaser tweet is the first of what we expect to be many based on their previous history, before the official announcement of the handset on October 17th. We’ll likely know after the launch if we’re going to see the handset officially made available to Australians, so stay tuned.

Are you excited for the OnePlus 6T?

Definitely interested but I’ll only buy if it’s officially sold here
