OPPO has quietly launched a new lower-end A-series phone in Australia with the A3s now available at JB Hifi for a wallet friendly $279.
The phone has a whopping 6.2″ HD+ (1520×720) resolution 19:9 aspect ratio display and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage all powered by a simply massive 4,230mAh battery.
The OPPO A3s also carries on the OPPO camera phone torch with a dual rear camera sensor array including 13MP & 2MP sensors. The front 8MP sensor will capture your selfies, with OPPO’s AI Beauty 2.0 software mode built-in to offer its insights on improving your natural talents.
The spec list includes :
- 6.2 inches In-Cell HD+ (1520 by 720 pixels) resolution Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Processor with Adreno 506 GPU
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB Expandable Up to 256GB (microSD)
- Rear Cameras 13MP (f/2.2) & 2MP (f/2.4) with LED Flash
- Front Camera 8MP (f/2.2)
- Wi-Fi802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS
- 4230mAh Battery
- ColorOS 5.1, based on Android 8.1
- 156.2×75.6xs8.2mm @ 168g
One thing to note is that the phone does NOT include NFC for tap & pay, though that’s fairly unsurprising for most OPPO handsets. It does however have a headphone jack, so that’s a big bonus!
The A3s comes with Android 8.1, though it’s built on OPPO’s custom skin ColorOS 5.1. OPPO has released the phone in two colours: Dark Purple, Red, with both colours particularly fetching. You can get the phone from JB Hifi now, or check out the OPPO Homepage for more info.
Looks like no fingerprint reader either.
