If you’re a new mobile device or accessory and you’re bought by the team over at JerryRigEverything, you know you’re in for a very short and very rough life. And, just punctuate that point, the latest device to receive the demolition derby treatment is the Samsung Galaxy S10.
During their now infamous tear-down we get to watch as the very innards of the S10 are torn asunder finally revealing the Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. With the Galaxy S10 being one of the first devices to include this type of sensor it was interesting to see the hardware, how it’s adhered to the panel and a basic explanation of how it works.
Honestly, there’s not a lot revelled by the dismembered innards of the device, but it sure is fun to watch it happen. What was certain from the video is that if you take your S10 screen off, you’ll be needing to buy a replacement, disassembling the display is a one-way journey, and forget ‘replacing’ the ultrasonic sensor.
