Check out the Mongda Wireless Charger on Indiegogo – Keeps your phone cool while charging

Not all wireless chargers are created equal. Due to the induction charging process, they can get quite warm, and this can – in some cases – damage your phone if you aren’t careful.

We came across the Mongda charger at MWC, and I’ve been trying one out on my desk at work for the last few weeks and it’s a pretty good offering. It has a number of features that set it apart from other wireless chargers on the market, and it’s going cheap on Indiegogo right now.

Including things such as fast wireless charging for phones that support it, ceramic condensation technology to keep your phone cool while charging, and even detectors for foreign objects and more, this is billed as a safe wireless charger with intelligent features.

The cooling feature is what really struck me; I’m used to picking phones up from wireless chargers and them being appreciably warm. Not so with the Mongda Wireless Charger – my phone is cool to the touch and ready to go, whenever I need it.

Not only is this important to keep your phone cool so it doesn’t melt your pocket when you pick it up, but it also keeps your battery cool while charging – this is important to extend the longevity of your battery and your mobile device.

You might be thinking that a fan running at night will annoy you, but the optical sensor built in can detect a dark room and keep quiet when you’re trying to sleep by slowing the fan speed a little.

The fast charging is another welcome feature; if your phone supports this, you can charge your phone wirelessly, and quicker. Apple’s iPhones will charge at 7.5W and Samsung at 10W. This gives the possibility of a half charge in a little over half an hour, and a full charge in about two.
