With HMD Global having moved its device line up onto the Android One platform, it’s great to see them honor their commitments to being two major OS updates to their original device line up from 2017. Nokia has announced that Android 9 Pie is heading to the Nokia 3 (2017), the device launched in 2017 with Nougat which has already been upgraded to Oreo in 2018.

The update has started to roll out this week and brings along with it the May 2019 security patch. With the Nokia 3 having been sold both in retail and through some carriers in Australia some of you may well have a Nokia 3 in use or in a drawer, if so it may be time to start spamming on that update button.
I wonder if it kills off any of the nasty com.evenwell apks.
