Lenovo is bringing out a few new Chromebooks to be launched in the coming months.
The Chromebook C340 comes in two sizes, with either 11-inch or 15-inch display size. Both sizes have a fancy 360 degree hinge, meaning they’ll work as a fat tablet in a pinch. The larger model offers a bit more storage, a bigger keyboard with number pad, and wider range of processor options – up to an Intel i3 U series mobile processor. Colour options include Sand Pink or Platinum Grey.
In addition to the C340 series, Lenovo is releasing a more powerful Chromebook called the S340. Not to be confused with its similarly-named Windows equivalent, the Chromebook S340 offers options for even faster processors, up to 10 hours of battery life, and a 14-inch touchscreen display. The Chromebook S340 comes in an attractive burgundy colour called Dark Orchid, or Onyx Black.
The advantage of Chromebooks is primarily their operating system providing easy syncing with mobile devices, snappy performance and low-cost hardware. If all you use a computer for is web applications, then a Chromebook is an easy recommendation to make – it provides all your apps online such as Google’s office software as well as anything you may need from the Play Store.
All three are currently making their way to stores in Europe. The C340 series will start at EUR 299 for the 11-inch model, while the 15-inch C340 will start at EUR 449. The 14-inch Chromebook S340 starts at EUR 299. Local pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed.
I wish someone would make a replacement for Pixel C. The detachable keyboard made it versatile as a tablet and also useful for text entry.
The high prices on eBay show that demand exists.

Do you know if any of these will be available in Australia?
They need to make more Chromebooks (and Windows 10 laptops for that matter) that fold over completely flat like the Pixel book does without curves leaving gaps between each half of the device.
