Last week Apple were heralded by some for finally including an 18W fast charger in the box for their iPhone 11 Pro smartphone. Welcome to 2010 Apple users. OPPO have always had one of the best fast charging solutions around and with the Reno Ace they are set to improve it even more, making Apple’s offering seem what it is, woefully inept old technology.
At an event announcing the OPPO Reno 2 OPPO also made mention of their upcoming flagship, the Reno Ace that has been hinted at by their VP, Brian Shen, in recent weeks. Based on what we know so far the new device will be the Reno Ace, have a 90Hz display and will have 65W SuperVOOC fast charging.
These numbers and features were confirmed by who else but Brian Shen. His Weibo account confirmed the 65W SuperVOOC, not long after confirming the 90Hz display.
The OPPO Reno 5G we tested out was a great phone and if they were to add these things to it in Australia it would make it the equivalent, if not an improvement, over every other phone out at the moment.
Of course it is unknown whether they will release it here but given recent years events it would not surprise us if they brought it out here towards the end of the year / early next year. Fingers crossed that they do because it looks set to be an amazing phone.
