We thought Motorola was going to make it to the launch date without an image leaking, but with only a few days left, images the soon to be announced Motorola Razr foldable phone have leaked.
Now we can feast our eyes on what I think just maybe the most desirable and interesting phone of 2019. Meet (what’s likely to be) the new Motorola Razr:
There’s not a lot of surprises in those images – they do confirm that the inner foldable screen will be one continuous display, and we’ve gotten our first look at what kind of functionality we can expect from the outer display.
That external display isn’t expected to be a fully functioning mini screen. It seems notifications may be the main function of the outer display, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Motorola releases an API that developers can use to get a little more out of it. Here are some more images.
Hardware-wise we’ve got a volume rocker and power button, a small camera bump and the enlarged chin at the bottom where we expect there to be a USB C charging port and hopefully a 3.5mm headphone jack. The rest of the device is finished in a silken black finish that just makes me want this phone about 300% more.
The rumoured specs are still the same with a Snapdragon 710 SOC, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage or 6GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. According to the rumours, the inner screen will be 6.2-inch P-OLED but we’re expecting that to be quite a narrow screen ratio. Of course in a device so small something had to suffer and unfortunately, it’s the battery with a Pixel 4 esk 2,730 mAh battery, let’s hope that SD710 and display are efficient to make this an all-day phone.
Now that we’ve gotten our first leak it probably won’t be long until more start to flow. The Razr will be announced on 13 November so it’s not long to go now.
if that ever comes to australia, i would buy one in a heartbeat i remember owning the original razr it was an amazing phone and i hope this one lives up to its original phone’s reputation
I’m more than a little excited for it myself.
Me too, but concerned about the battery life.
