Disney+ will become available in Australia and New Zealand this coming Tuesday. Here’s the low-down on everything you need to know about the new streaming service.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A subscription will cost $8.99 per month, or $89.99 for a yearly subscription.
HOW MANY STREAMS CAN I WATCH AT ONCE?
Disney+ allows up to four simultaneous streams and up to 10 unique devices registered per account.
Streaming will be available in 4K with HDR on compatible devices, or 1080p otherwise.
WHAT PLATFORMS ARE SUPPORTED?
Disney+ is available on both Android and iOS, as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Smart TVs running Android TV, Samsung TVs and LG TVs on webOS will receive a bespoke app.
You can also watch in your web browser on desktop and laptop PCs, or stream the app to a Chromecast.
WHAT SORT OF CONTENT IS ON DISNEY+?
Disney+ offers several exclusive shows such as The Mandalorian, Lady and the Tramp, Encore! and Noelle.
Marvel favourites such as Avengers, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man and Thor will make appearances on the service as well.
The full series of Star Wars movies are coming to the service, including Rogue One and Solo along with animated shows like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
A long list of classic animated movies from Disney are also making their way to Disney+ including Aladdin, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians and Beauty and the Beast.
A bunch of Pixar movies will be available too, including the full Toy Story series, Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, and Up!.
A few other noteworthy movies coming to the service include Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
There’s sure to be plenty more titles on the way; if you’re in search of a particular movie, as long as it’s from Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios or Lucasfilm, you can rest assured it’ll probably come to the service.
Dropping Stan for this so I can watch the Mandalorian….will keep Netflix but can’t see a need to continue with Stan so wondering is this the end for Stan?
