There have been so many Samsung Galaxy S20 leaks, just like there is for every phone release these days, that it is difficult to keep track of them. Although there have been a lot of leaks very few have evidence or can confirm sizes of the phones, until now.
MobileFun has managed to get their hands on some Galaxy S20 dummy phones and have done some measurements of the devices allowing us to compare the sizes of the different models.
- Galaxy S20: 151 x 73 x 7.7mm, Camera Module Dimensions – 34 x 17 x 1mm
- Galaxy S20 Plus: 161 x 69 x 7.7mm, Camera Module Dimensions – 35 x 21 x 1mm
- Galaxy S20 Ultra: 166 x 76 x 8.9mm, Camera Module Dimensions – 45 x 30 x 2mm
MobileFun had some Samsung S20 sample cases sent to them along with the Galaxy S20 dummy models so they could check out the fit etc of them. Of course this means that the dummy models would have be near perfect replicas of the actual devices. In virtually every dimension the size of the new models are bigger than their respective models of 2019.
From the measurements they found that the sizes of the displays were: 6.2-inches for the Galaxy S20, 6.7-inches for the Plus version and a huge 6.9-inches for the Ultra. With the Ultra also including the increased camera specs you can see why its camera bump is taller, wider and deeper than the other two models.
MobileFun were also able to confirm that the Galaxy S20 series will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the Bixby button (good to see they are remaining with its omission — may it never return).
Just a couple of weeks remain until we see Samsung Announce their new flagship devices and once again we already know pretty much all there is to know before the announcement. Do you think Samsung will be able to pull any surprises at their Unpacked event on February 11? What do you want them to show us that hasn’t already been leaked? Is there anything else?
