Samsung’s second foldable phone – Galaxy Z Flip – is hitting our shores in an updated model bringing 5G connectivity in October.
Galaxy Z Flip delivered a second generation foldable experience with a more pocket-friendly form factor than the original Galaxy Fold.
The new device’s 5G connectivity will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, the first time it’s been used in a Samsung product.
With the addition of the 5G model, Samsung now has 5G connectivity across its entire smartphone portfolio, from the A-series right up to its premium foldable devices.
Samsung Australia’s Garry McGregor says “2020 is a great time for more mainstream users to adopt the technology given coverage has been growing exponentially this year. 5G is here and will be the backbone for what will power our country’s communications infrastructure into the next decade.”
Galaxy Z Flip 5G will be available from Samsung and selected partners from October 9 for $2,149. While you wait, check out Ausdroid’s review of the OG Galaxy Z Flip.
