From today the full new OPPO Reno8 series is available in Australia slotting in at the high mid-range between their A series and Find X series.
Two highlights at this price point are the inclusion of:
- 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging which means the Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G enable users to charge the 4500 mAh battery to 50% in around 10 minutes, and to 100% in around 30 minutes.
- OPPO’s exclusive in house MariSilicon X imaging processor which enables much better night vision for photos and videos
OPPO’s battery research and development helps make the Reno8 series more sustainable because they keep up to 80% of their original capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles (the longest smartphone battery lifespan on the market), twice the industry standard of 800 cycles.
OPPO Australia’s Managing Director, Michael Tran commented:
“We’re excited to be bringing the latest generation of our Reno devices to Australia with the Reno8 Series. Since launching the Reno series in early 2019, OPPO has shipped over 80 million Reno devices worldwide”.
“Our OPPO Reno series is known for featuring impressive camera capabilities and unique designs. Ushering in our new generation, the Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G employ the latest camera innovations for Aussies to capture their best moments even in the most challenging lighting conditions.”
“Both devices feature Dual Sony Flagship Sensors, including the 32MP IMX709 RGBW sensor for the selfie camera, which enables users to capture clearer selfies in low light, and the 50MP IMX766 sensor in the rear for flagship-level camera performance”.
“Reno8 Pro 5G houses the MariSilicon X imaging NPU, enabling unrivalled videography capabilities in its class. MariSilicon X enables 4K Ultra Night Video for ultra-clear, brighter, and more detailed videos at night, as well as 4K Ultra HDR Video to keep details in both highlights and shadows”.
The combination of the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX SoC, Ultra-Conductive Cooling System, together with fast 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, makes Reno8 Pro 5G the most powerful Reno ever.
Reno8 5G has most of the same features except a less powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and smaller screen size of 6.4 inches instead of 6.7 inches.
Both phones are claimed to include industry-leading sustained performance without overheating to ensure a smooth and steady gaming experience.
