Eufy has quite a strong brand presence in the Australian consumer market, particularly with their security cameras and smart locks. Of course, today’s topic – the vacuum cleaning robots – is also one of their flagship products. As work has become increasingly busy over the years, the small chores at home can sometimes be very frustrating. I have increasingly felt that having a robotic vacuum is irreplaceable. Since I started using a mid-level cleaning robot at home three years ago, I feel like I can’t live without this little helper. It’s like the first time you use a washing machine; once you do, there’s no going back.
A few weeks ago, when eufy’s PR team reached out to ask if I was interested in reviewing one of their top products, I couldn’t resist the temptation. In this article, I’ll describe my subjective experience of using the X10 Pro Omni for a month as best as I can. During this time, my wife, who is not usually very interested in tech, proactively shared her thoughts with me, which is quite rare in our product testing experience. This has somewhat influenced my opinion of the X10 Pro Omni. Without further ado, as usual, let’s start with its specs and my first impression!

First impression
The eufy X10 Pro Omni impresses right out of the box with its robust base station, designed to hold clean water, store dirty water, and even perform self-maintenance. This high-tech vacuum uses LiDAR, a camera, and advanced AI for navigation, ensuring thorough and efficient cleaning. Its premium features include a dynamic mop and powerful suction. When I first opened the box, I felt a spark of joy. Unlike many other devices, the X10 Pro Omni requires minimal setup – no complex assembly needed. Just peel off the plastic, attach a ramp to the base, plug in the power cord, and you’re ready to go. It was, by far, the simplest robo-vac setup I’ve ever experienced.
Design
The D-shaped robot, measuring 11.35cm in height, 35.3cm in width, and 32.7cm in depth, features a stylish top deck with power, home, and child lock buttons, along with a turret that holds its LIDAR sensor.
Inside the robot, there’s a spinning edge brush and a rubber-and-bristle roller brush with a detangling comb. At the back, it has two pentagonal mops. These mops are better than traditional round mops because they spin with smaller gaps between them, covering more floor area.
The robot’s partner, the X10 Pro’s Omni Station, is 48cm tall, 46cm wide, and 36.6cm deep. Though it’s not small, its design is space-efficient with a 3-litre clean and dirty water tank set up next to the dust canister instead of in a big compartment.
The station’s canister can hold a 2.5-litre antibacterial dust bag that can store up to two months of debris. In the docking area, the robot’s mop pads are thoroughly washed and dried, with air heated to 45 degrees Celsius to prevent odours and bacteria buildup.
The software brings the experience to a whole new level
As expected, the companion app for the smart home appliance improves the user experience, and the X10 Pro Omni is no exception. The official mobile app, ‘Eufy Clean,’ is not strictly necessary, but if you want access to features like mapping, cleaning modes, and remote control, it’s essential. Getting started with the app is easy. If you already have an account with Anker or any of its subsidiaries, you can use that login without any hassle. Connecting the vacuum to your network is just as simple. It pairs with your phone via Bluetooth and automatically retrieves your WiFi details.
One of my favourite new features of the Eufy robot is its ability to zoom straight to a designated spot on the map and patiently wait for further instructions. You can even steer it using a joystick on the control panel, which is both fun and surprisingly useful.
In addition, you can customise the maps by marking specific areas as “no-go zones.” You also have the flexibility to control the intensity of the cleaning, adjusting the suction power and water usage, and even directing the bot to focus on cleaning edges more thoroughly. Additionally, you can choose to perform either vacuuming or mopping during a particular session. You can also set up routines, scheduling either light or deep cleanings for specific times of the day or targeting particular areas at predetermined times.
The customization options are fantastic – you can tweak the cleaning intensity of both the mop and vacuum or opt to use just one. You can even command the bot to self-empty or scrub its mop with a few taps. Setting up detailed cleaning schedules via the Eufy Clean app is easy. Though integrating the bot into broader home automation systems is possible, it does sacrifice some finer controls. Like some other models, this one also lets you monitor the lifespan of each component, keeping you informed about your vacuum’s health.
Performance
The X10 Pro Omni has a powerful suction of 8,000 Pa, so I let my floors and tiles gather a few days’ worth of dust, pet hair, and household debris before trying it out. After using it, there wasn’t a single speck left, even along the walls or in the tight spaces under the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. This high level of cleanliness continued with daily cleanings over the following week.
While many vacuum and mop hybrids struggle with performance, the X10 Pro Omni stands out. Though its mopping wasn’t as perfect as a manual mop, it did restore the shine dulled by heavy foot traffic on the floors.
Its mopping capabilities show great attention to detail. The robot lifts its mop pads 12mm when it encounters carpets or rugs, keeping them dry. This is rare among similar models that often leave rugs damp. Special settings like “edge hugging mopping” improve its precision along walls, and pentagon-shaped mop heads ensure even coverage without streaks.
During use, the X10 Pro Omni is quiet, but noise levels increase significantly when it returns to the Omni Station. Self-emptying functions are known for being loud during bin disposal, and this model is no exception. The station also makes noise when refilling water tanks and cleaning mop heads, similar to the sound of a water cooler bottle change. Despite these short bursts of noise, which are reminiscent of traditional vacuums, most users should find them manageable for short periods.
One feature I have to mention is the X10 Pro’s AI.See. With the help of AI technology, the X10 Pro Omni has excellent obstacle recognition, making almost no mistakes. I can remotely check for obstacles through eufy Clean at any time and decide if it needs to go back to clean a specific area. I find this very convenient.
Verdict
Overall, I was very impressed with how well the vacuum performed on rugs – it cleaned them with great efficiency. It also did a good job on hard floors like tile, as long as the roller brushes were clear.
Like most robot vacuums, the X10 Pro Omni needed some human help now and then, especially with more debris on the floor. It handled dog hair and human hair well most of the time. However, I’m not confident in letting it run completely on its own. Sometimes, the auto-detangling doesn’t work very well for my household. From other reviews I’ve read online, it doesn’t seem to be a common issue with this robot, so I wouldn’t consider it a downside in this review.
Eufy’s dual mop heads exceeded my expectations, especially in their ability to clean closely along walls – the X10 got closer to walls than any other robot I’ve tried. The “edge hugging” setting on the mop panel worked as promised, eliminating the usual unmopped strip of space around obstacles and walls.
In terms of cleaning, I found that making two passes over a space worked very well to remove dirt, with the first pass acting as a pre-wash. Unlike other robots that move in straight lines, the Eufy mop uses a more effective wiggling motion across the floor. I did find myself refilling the water chambers more often compared to higher-end models, as they are slightly smaller in capacity, but this was not too inconvenient.

Should you buy the Eufy X10 Omni Pro?
Priced at AU$1,699, the X10 Pro Omni positions itself squarely in the mid-range of the robot vacuum market, yet it delivers performance that rivals more expensive models. In a market where true autonomous cleaning remains a rarity, this all-in-one robot vacuum demands serious consideration at any price point.
