Motorola has introduced its latest device in Australia, the moto tag. Like Apple’s airtag and the Tile hardware, it’s designed to help users locate their valuables with ease and precision. The moto tag is compatible with any Android smartphone running Android 9.0 or higher and equipped with Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technology. Integrating with Google’s Find My Device network, the moto tag offers global coverage and real-time pinpoint accuracy, ensuring users can track their belongings effortlessly no matter where they are.
This launch represents Motorola’s first venture into the device-tracking market and further enhances its expanding ecosystem of technology products. The moto tag follows the successful release earlier this year of Motorola’s moto buds and moto buds+, both featuring premium audio performance developed in collaboration with Sound by Bose.

Motorola has also prioritised security, incorporating end-to-end encryption via Google’s trusted network to ensure user data remains private. To address concerns about unwanted tracking, the device includes a manual scan feature that allows users to detect unauthorised trackers nearby, giving them complete control over their privacy.
In addition to its security features, the moto tag is built to withstand the rigours of everyday use. It is IP67-rated, making it resistant to dust and splashes, and boasts an impressive battery life of up to one year. When the battery does need replacing, the device uses a universally available, replaceable battery, making it both practical and sustainable for long-term use.
Available exclusively at Harvey Norman, the moto tag comes in two striking colours, Jade Green and Starlight Blue, catering to users looking for both functionality and style. Consumers can purchase the device as a single pack priced at $55 or opt for a more economical four-pack for $179.
