One of the biggest consumer electronics trade shows in the world: International CES kicks off in almost two weeks, where we’re going to see a massive amount of new gadgets. LG has kicked off early announcing some new speakers in their Music Flow line.
LG has announced three speakers to be shown off, the first is a battery-powered Wi-Fi Speaker (Model H4 Portable), and they’re also introducing two new soundbars – Models HS7 and HS9. The speakers will automatically connect to an Android (or iOS) phone running the LG Music Flow app, when you come within 1 foot of them. The LG Music Flow app supports music provided by Spotify, Deezer, Napster, and TuneIn.
Additional features on Music Flow, include support for LINE, which allows users to send basic commands such as ‘play songs for party’ or ‘turn off music after one hour’. Users will also be able to set alarms or alert them of upcoming events. The speakers also support Dual Band Wi-Fi (2.4/5GHz) technology and allow you to continue streaming music to a speaker while still receiving phone calls.
LG will be showing off their new Music Flow speakers at CES, so we’ll find out more then, as well as if they’ll be launched here in Australia.
Interesting that the LG app sounds like it ignores Google Play Music, and iTunes.
